Origin and manufacturing process of cold pressed terminal names

Cold pressed terminals refer to the use of crimping (using tools such as crimping pliers) on the wire ends and terminals during the wiring of electronic components, rather than welding. They do not require heating treatment and are different from soldering. Therefore, these types of terminals are called cold pressed terminals.

Cold pressed terminal blocks, also known as wire noses, are divided into copper and aluminum, open and closed, and are mainly used for power cable joints. At present, the most widely used terminals are not only PCB board terminals, but also hardware continuous terminals, nut terminals, spring terminals, and so on.

Cold pressed terminals are made using stamping technology, and then the surface is plated with Au/Tin according to the requirements, with a focus on the material. The cold pressed terminal material should be made of red copper with good plasticity and high conductivity.
